What You Get, Minus the Agency Markup
Small US agencies commonly quote $2,500–$8,000 for a small-business WordPress site, and part of that pays for the office, the account manager and the very expensive coffee machine. I'm one senior developer working remotely from New Delhi, so a comparable build here starts at $349 for up to 3 pages and $699 for up to 8. You deal with me from first call to launch. Nobody hands your project to a junior at 4:55pm on a Friday.
Every build includes on-page SEO, schema markup, GA4 and Search Console, a 90+ mobile speed target and a recorded training video. Business and Growth packages add Google Business Profile setup, which matters a lot if your customers search for "near me" while standing in a parking lot. More on that in local SEO setup.
Calls in Your Working Day
Calls run Monday to Friday, 9am–1pm US Eastern (ET). Here's how that lands across the country:
| Time Zone | Call Window |
|---|
| Eastern (New York, Atlanta, Miami) | 9am–1pm |
| Central (Chicago, Dallas, Houston) | 8am–12pm |
| Mountain (Denver, Salt Lake City, Boise) | 7am–11am |
| Pacific (Los Angeles, Seattle, San Diego) | 6am–10am |
West Coast clients usually grab the later slots or keep things to email, which is fine: email replies come within one business day, and progress updates arrive as short Loom videos you can watch whenever suits you, including at 11pm on the couch. No judgment.
ADA, Privacy and Marketing Rules: The Plain-English Version
This isn't legal advice, but these are the things every US small-business website should take seriously:
- Accessibility (ADA). The Department of Justice has said the ADA applies to the websites of businesses that serve the public, and website accessibility lawsuits are filed every year. There's no official checklist for private businesses, so builds follow WCAG 2.2 AA practices from the start.
- Privacy (CCPA and state laws). California's CCPA, as amended by the CPRA, mainly applies to larger businesses, and states such as Virginia, Colorado and Texas have their own privacy laws. Even under the thresholds, a clear privacy policy and an honest cookie notice build trust.
- Email and text marketing. CAN-SPAM covers marketing emails (a working unsubscribe link and your physical address), and marketing texts need the customer's consent under the TCPA, so form wording matters if you collect numbers for texts.
- Health information (HIPAA). Clinics that collect health details online use a HIPAA-ready form service, so sensitive information never sits in WordPress.

Paying From the US
Pay by card through Stripe, PayPal or bank transfer, invoiced in US dollars. Usually it's 50% to start and 50% before launch, and if you don't approve the design, you get the full upfront payment back. See pricing, try the website cost calculator, or read how much a small business website costs.
