What Canadian Websites Usually Cost
A 2026 Canadian pricing guide puts most established small-business builds at C$1,500–C$5,000, with mid-market studios at C$5,000–C$15,000 (Elevate Web Design). Packages here start at US$349 for up to 3 pages and US$699 for up to 8, because I'm one senior developer working remotely from New Delhi rather than a studio with a downtown lease. That leaves more of the budget for the important things, like a second coffee run.
The build itself is the same lean WordPress setup I use everywhere: a lightweight block theme, a 90+ mobile speed target, on-page SEO, schema, GA4 and Search Console, and a training video so you're not emailing me to change your holiday hours.
Calls Across Canadian Time Zones
Calls run Monday to Friday, 9am–1pm US Eastern (ET). Canada and the US change their clocks on the same dates, so the window stays put all year. (Saskatchewan doesn't change its clocks, so there it's 7am–11am in summer and 8am–12pm in winter.)
| Time Zone | Call Window |
|---|
| Newfoundland (St. John's) | 10:30am–2:30pm |
| Atlantic (Halifax, Moncton) | 10am–2pm |
| Eastern (Toronto, Ottawa, Montréal) | 9am–1pm |
| Central (Winnipeg) | 8am–12pm |
| Mountain (Calgary, Edmonton) | 7am–11am |
| Pacific (Vancouver, Victoria) | 6am–10am |
Email replies come within one business day either way.
PIPEDA, CASL, AODA and French: The Short Version
Not legal advice, but these are the rules most Canadian small-business websites run into:
- PIPEDA. The federal privacy law for private-sector businesses: get consent, explain why you collect personal information, and protect it. Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia have their own private-sector privacy laws that often apply instead.
- CASL. Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation needs express or implied consent before you send commercial emails or texts, plus your business details and an unsubscribe option in every message. That's why signup forms get clear, unticked consent checkboxes.
- AODA (Ontario). Ontario businesses and non-profits with 50 or more employees must make their public websites meet WCAG 2.0 AA. Smaller organizations aren't covered by that rule, but builds follow WCAG 2.2 AA practices anyway.
- French in Quebec. The Charter of the French Language means Quebec businesses generally need their website available in French. Bilingual builds are available; see the FAQ below.

Paying From Canada
Pay by card through Stripe, PayPal or bank transfer, in US dollars. Usually it's 50% to start and 50% before launch, and if you don't approve the design, you get the full upfront payment back. See pricing, the website cost calculator or WordPress website design.
